Nova Gateway - Privacy Policy

Nova Gateway ("the App") is an experimental, local-client application designed to interface with Google's Generative AI models. We take your privacy incredibly seriously by designing the App to be essentially "blind" to the developer.

1. Data Collection & "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK)

The developer of Nova Gateway collects zero personal data, audio recordings, or visual screen data. To use the App, users must provide their own personal Google Gemini API Key. All data processing occurs directly between your device and Google's servers.

2. Microphone and Screen Capture Permissions

The App requires Microphone access for Voice Activity Detection (VAD) and continuous conversational interactions. The App requires Screen Capture (MediaProjection) access to allow the AI to actively "see" and collaborate with you on your device's screen.

• Data Routing: When Sense or Autonomy modes are active, visual and audio payloads are encrypted and streamed directly to generativelanguage.googleapis.com.
• No Storage: The App does not record, save, or transmit your screen data or voice to the developer's servers, nor are they saved locally on your device beyond temporary RAM buffers necessary for real-time processing.

3. Third-Party Processing

Because your data is sent directly to Google via your personal API key, your data is subject to Google's API Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Please consult Google's documentation regarding how they handle data transmitted via Google AI Studio API keys.
